BMW ActiveHybrid will debut in Tokyo 5

BMW ActiveHybrid will introduce five models at Tokyo auto show to take place from 3-11/12.

5 ActiveHybrid, hybrid version of the BMW 5-Series, equipped with twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine, 6 cylinders in line with a capacity of 306 horsepower, torque and 400 nanometers. This engine comes with an electric motor with a capacity of 56 horsepower.

Through this combination, the total capacity of the car reached 340 horsepower, 450Nm of torque achieved, helping the car can accelerate from 0-100km / h in just 5.9 seconds. The level of vehicle fuel consumption is also very impressive: 6.4 lit/100km.

As planned, the ActiveHybrid 5 will be available on the U.S. market in spring 2012.
